Recently, Raj Thackeray expressed major concern over the absolute degeneration of the water bodies in Maharashtra. He pointed out that the purity of the rivers is being compromised in the name of religious activities and that this practice should cease. He urged the Pollution Control Board to save the five rivers in Mumbai from collapsing.
