Maharashtra's Finance Minister announced a water supply project worth Rupees.500 crores to ensure purity of drinking water. The rise in GBS cases in the Sinhagad area of Pune compelled him to initiate this project. The project will be jointly funded by the state government and PMC to provide clean drinking water to the affected area.
