Mosquito Infestation Due to Water Hyacinth Crisis Affects Thousands in Pune
Areas in Pune have recently had to face severe mosquito infestation due to the unclean conditions of the Mula river nearby. This was caused due to the presence of water hyacinth in the water body that habitually led to stagnation of water. Therefore, the river served as a perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes, leading to the spontaneous spread of diseases.
