The Pune Traffic Police ban heavy vehicles, or vehicles possessing more than 10 wheels, in order to ensure road safety. The Traffic DCP, Amol Zende expressed his concerns over the spike in the number of deaths caused by road accidents in Pune. Strict guidelines have been imposed on the movement of the vehicles in question.
