Extra ST Bus Services from Pune for Summer Rush: Services to Kolhapur, Nashik, Solapur till June 15

With summer vacations approaching and the seasonal travel rush building up, the Pune division of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has announced extra bus services to popular destinations such as Kolhapur, Solapur, Nashik, Mumbai, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. These additional buses will be operational from April 15 to June 15 to ease travel for holidaymakers and workers returning to their hometowns.

Pune, being home to lakhs of migrants from across Maharashtra and beyond, sees a surge in travel during summer holidays. With school and college exams ending around April 25 this year, ST officials expect peak crowds thereafter.

To accommodate this demand, 400 to 500 additional bus trips will be arranged, especially from major hubs like Swargate and Shivajinagar. Routes will also cover Konkan, Latur, Akola, and Bhimashankar.

Divisional Transport Officer Sachin Shinde confirmed that more buses will be deployed if crowds continue to grow, ensuring that passengers aren’t left stranded due to lack of public transport.

400-500 additional bus trips will be arranged for the large amount of crowd traveling to various parts of Maharashtra from Pune this summer. MSRTC has arranged these bus services specifically for popular destinations within the states. Peak traveling rush is to be expected after 25th April, post exams and during vacation time. Convenient public conveyance is made available for all.
