Unfinished BRT Corridor and Other Infrastructural Upgradations Discussed by DCM
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has directed Pune Municipal Commissioner to immediately dismantle the incomplete and unfinished BRT corridor between Samnath Nagar and Kharadi Bypass to ease traffic congestion and reduce accidents.
Recently, during the Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's meeting in Pune, a number of civic problems were discussed to which he prompted suggestions to solve the same. The BRT corridor that had been causing inconvenience for some time now, is going to be dismantled on the behest of the DCM to ease traffic congestion and avoid road accidents.
Pawar also instructed the state Chief Secretary to extend the proposed NH flyover from Wagholi directly to Viman Nagar for better connectivity. Addressing water scarcity in Vadgaonsheri and surrounding areas, Pawar ordered free water tankers for residents and a swift restoration of regular water supply.
He further asked PMC to promptly issue necessary permissions for MHADA's redevelopment project in Yerwada. These directives came during a high-level review meeting on civic issues held during Pawar's Pune visit.
