Anti-Narcotic Squad Seized Over 11Kg of Marijuana in Sus, Pune on 2nd February
In a major crackdown, the Anti-Narcotics Squad in Sus village seized over 11 kg of marijuana worth ₹5.69 lakh under Bavdhan Police Station's jurisdiction.
Under the guidance of Bavdhan Police Station's jurisdiction, the Anti-Narcotic squad seized over 11kg of marijuana successfully. The ordeal took place in Sus, Pune on 2nd February. The seized drug is estimated to be worth of Rupees.5.69 lakhs. Two individuals have been accused and are facing charges. Further investigations are being conducted to find a larger drug sales network.
The raid took place on February 2 at around 5 p.m., leading to the arrest of Namdev Sampat Mane (53), a resident of Sus village, originally from Satara. Acting on a tip-off about drug sales near Bhairavnath Temple, police laid a trap and apprehended Mane. Investigations revealed that he had procured the contraband from Sameer Shaikh, a resident of Bhukum, Mulshi, who is also facing charges.
A case has been registered, and further probes are ongoing. Police Officer Javed Baghsiraj has filed a complaint at Bavdhan Police Station. Authorities are now tracing the supply chain and possible links to a larger drug network.
