PMRDA Initiated Land Acquisition Process, Willing to Pay 25% Bonus to Cooperators for Creation of Inner Ring Road

Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi has announced a 25% bonus under the Land Acquisition Act for landowners who voluntarily surrender their land for the proposed Pune Inner Ring Road (IRR).

Pune District Collector has vouched to award 25% bonus to the landowners who are willing to voluntarily give up their land for the cause of Inner Ring Road (IRR) project in Pune. However, PMRDA anticipates challenges due to the proximity of the project to developed areas. The project aims at decongesting traffic in Pune.

The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has initiated the land acquisition process, but challenges are expected due to the project's proximity to developed areas.

Meanwhile, work on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) has gained momentum, The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has awarded various construction packages, and some contractors have begun mobilizing equipment and setting up labor camps. The IRR and ORR projects are critical to decongesting Pune's traffic, but land acquisition and execution will determine their success.
