MHADA Offers Unsold Flats Without Lottery: First-Come-First-Serve Applications Start April 10
Report by The Newsage Pune.

Unsold Flats with Lower Demands to be Managed by MHADA

In a big boost for homebuyers, MHADA Pune has opened applications for unsold flats under the 15% Social and 20% Inclusive Housing Schemes—this time, on a first-come-first-serve basis with no lottery involved.

Starting April 10, 2025, eligible individuals from the general category who haven’t previously benefited from MHADA can directly apply online via bookmyhome.mhada.gov.in.

MHADA has come up with a generous scheme of selling unsold homes and property to first-come-first-serve buyers belonging to the general category. This entire process is set to take place online and individuals who wish to register must submit authentic documents properly; and take ownership of the property offered to them.

These homes remained unsold due to lower demand and will now be offered to applicants who register earliest and meet the eligibility criteria. The entire process—from registration to allotment—is fully online. Applicants must ensure they upload all necessary documents correctly.

MHADA officials have emphasized complete transparency and encouraged citizens to frequently check the portal as new homes are listed by developers. This scheme is designed to help ordinary citizens turn their dream of homeownership into reality.
