CM Fadnavis Directs Crackdown on Industrialist Extortion to Support Funding


Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis has directed police to take strict action under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) against individuals harassing, blackmailing, or industrialist extortion. He emphasized that no one will be spared, even if they belong to the ruling Mahayuti alliance.


Devendra Fadnavis has imposed strict warning against individuals practicing unethical methods of money-making and has ordered harsh crackdown on industrial extortion. He also asserted the need for possessing a corruption-free business environment on many occasions, recently. The CM also claims PMRDA is Maharashtra's growing engine and rapid investment is essential, further emphasizing on the importance of the project's funding.

Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner’s building and Mahalunge Industrial Police Complex, Fadnavis stressed the need for a corruption-free business environment. Several ministers and top officials attended the event. On Purandar Airport, Fadnavis assured that land acquisition approvals are imminent, accelerating Pune’s development.


He highlighted the airport’s role in overcoming air traffic constraints and boosting industrialization. “PMRDA is Maharashtra’s growth engine, and rapid investment is essential,” he said. The announcements signal the government’s commitment to industrial safety and infrastructure expansion in Pune’s metropolitan region.
