PCMC Races to Meet ₹1,000 Cr Property Tax Target
Report by The Newsage Pune.

Property Tax Target Worth ₹200 crore to be Cleared by PCMC Officials

With just 21 days left, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is intensifying efforts to collect the remaining ₹200 crore of its ₹1,000 crore property tax target.

PCMC is struggling last moment to completely fulfil the property tax collection target within the next 21 days. Officials have been working through all odds to complete the ₹1,000 crore target. However, the recent drive of demolition has led to a loss of ₹60 crore in revenue.

Officials are working through holidays, sealing properties, cutting water connections, and even auctioning defaulters' assets. So far, ₹800 crore has been collected, with online payments contributing ₹551.71 crore.

However, the demolition of unauthorized structures in Kudalwadi has led to an estimated ₹60 crore revenue loss. A drone survey has identified 2.5 lakh new properties, expected to increase future revenue.
