Pimpri-Chinchwad Police to Conduct an Auction of Seized, Unclaimed Vehicles After 60 Days
Report by The Newsage Pune

Auction of Seized Unclaimed Vehicles to be Held in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has issued a final warning to all owners of seized vehicles to reclaim them within a period of 60 days. After the deadline, the seized unclaimed vehicles will be auctioned off through a legal process by the Pimpri-Chinchwad police. The reason for this decision is due to the fact that police stations are recently being overcrowded by all sorts of seized and abandoned vehicles.

Confiscated vehicles have been abandoned leading to overcrowding in the police station as well as poor hygiene. The vehicles are only being hoarded without being claimed. A deadline of 60 days has been issued, after which, a legal auction of seized, unclaimed vehicles will be held.

This has caused the sapping of the hygiene of the property. This is also an important part of the Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis' seven-point program, that emphasizes on cleanliness maintenance of all police stations. The owners of the vehicles have been warned to report to the concerned police station within 6o days to move out their vehicles.

They are also required to submit necessary documents and also a court order to reclaim the vehicle. Failing of this, their vehicle will be auctioned off, legally. Senior Inspector, Tejaswini Kadam from Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has urged the owners of the vehicles to act upon this warning with immediate effect in order to avoid losing their vehicles.
