PMC to Commence Work with Two New Metro Corridors and Additional Stations
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has approved two new metro corridors- Hadapsar to Loni Kalbhor and Hadapsar to Saswad Road. Both will be elevated, with the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) handling construction.
PMC is set to commence the creation of two new metro lines in the Hadapsar area of Pune. the construction of it is to be taken up by PMRDA. A new station- Balaji Sation is anticipated at the Swargate-Katraj Metro line, at the behest of regular commuters. The projects aim to ease congestion and make travelling easier for all citizens.
Municipal Commissioner Rajendra Bhosale confirmed that PMC will provide the required land but won't bear financial costs. Additionally, PMC has approved a new metro station on the Swargate-Katraj underground line.
The Balajinagar station, requested by citizens, will be built by Maha-Metro, likely near Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. With these developments, Pune's metro network is set for significant expansion, improving connectivity in key areas. The projects aim to ease congestion and provide better public transport options for commuters.
