PMC Started Repair Work of Roads on Urgent Basis After Reaction from Rashtrapati Bhavan
Pune has been experiencing haywire traffic of late, as a result of an exceeding number of vehicles on the road. This has naturally led to wear and tear of roads. Overtime, the roads have not been mended by the concerned authorities and has led to potholes and other inconveniences. This has caused accidents as well as physical disruption of motorists. The complaints about the roads have reached such an extent that, PMC received intimation from the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Pune's uneven and bumpy roads cause major inconvenience to motorists, compelling authorities from a national platform to look into the matter. PMC started repair work of 15 prominent roads and re-asphalted the same within a week of intervention.
After this, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), started the road repair work rather swiftly. 15 major roads in the city have been re-asphalted and repaired within a week to ensure smooth travelling. The Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar also criticized the condition of the roads, facilitating a quick response from PMC. The repair team is still discovering new ways to completely eradicate the difficulties faced by motorists daily.
PMC engineers have assured that the road patch removal, thin-layer asphalting and manhole levelling are in progress and will reach completion. Although painting and divider repairs are on the engineers' agenda, priority will be given to the repairing of the vexation mentioned above. PMC vows to provide and safer and smoother travelling experience shortly.
