Pune International Airport Improves its ASQ Score on a Global Platform
Pune International Airport (PIA) has improved its ranking in the Global Airport Service Quality ASQ score, climbing from 76th in Q3 to 67th in Q4 of 2024. Its ASQ rating increased from 4.84 to 4.91, well above the global average of 4.32.
According to the ASQ survey conducted, Pune International Airport rose in rank considerably. However, passenger complaints still persist regarding cleanliness and demeanor of staff. The airport excelled in certain areas but, seven key parameters including various factors declined. Santosh Dhoke assured further advancements in the development and up-keep of the airport in order to maintain global standards.
Despite the improvement, passengers remain unhappy with washroom cleanliness and staff behavior. While the airport excelled in areas like waiting time and parking, seven key parameters, including staff courtesy and shopping experiences, declined.
Airport Director Santosh Dhoke assured that further enhancements are planned but noted that individual complaints will always arise. The ASQ survey, conducted by Canadian firms, evaluates airports worldwide on 31 parameters to maintain global standards.
