After receiving multiple complaints from residents regarding the noise pollution caused by illegal bullet silencers in the area, Pune Police launched a crackdown in Yerwada. 1,768 illegal and non-complaint silencers were seized and demolished publicly. Authorities state that such drives will continue in order to curb noise pollution caused by such illicitly modified silencers.
