Pune Traffic Police Laid Down Guidelines for Regulation of Traffic on Shiv Jayanti

Pune Traffic Police have enforced major road closure and diversions for Shiv Jayanti 2025 celebrations today, marking Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary.

Key roads including Shivaji Road, Laxmi Road, Bajirao Road and Nehru Road Will be affected from 6am until the processions conclude. Emergency vehicles are exempt and PMPML buses will follow alternative rules. Traffic from Jijamata Chowk, Ganesh Road and Bajirao Road will be redirected via Tila Road, FC Road and JM Road.

Processions are scheduled to be carried out on account of Shiv Jayanti in Pune. The authorities have already chalked out alternate routes to be followed by commuters in order to avoid traffic and inconvenience for all. Exceptions are made for emergency vehicles. 7am to 2pm is the stipulated time of procession and all are urged to cooperate.

The 'Jai Shivaji-Jai Bharat' padyatra from 7am to 2pm will pass through COEP Ground, SG Barwe College and Modern Chowk, affecting traffic in these areas. Parking is available at Sangamwadi, FC Ground, Nadipatra Parking and Agri College Ground.
