L. Stephens Confirms an Extension to Complete the Suncity-Karvenagar Bridge Project
Suncity-Karvenagar bridge, aimed at easing traffic congestion at Sinhagad Road, is only 45% complete. With just two months left in the deadline, completing the work on time seems impossible.
Delay is expected in the completion of the Suncity-Karvenagar bridge, sanctioned by PMC due to administrative delays. The creation of the bridge was sanctioned two and a half years ago to ease traffic congestion in the area, but now it stands far from conclusion. Assistant Municipal Engineer claims that an extension will be undoubtedly required.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) had sanctioned the project two and a half years ago, but administrative delays slowed progress. Assistant Municipal Engineer L. Stephens confirmed that an extension will be necessary to complete the work.
The bridge is expected to provide an alternative route for vehicles traveling between Sinhagad Road, Karvenagar and DP Road, significantly reducing traffic congestion. Meanwhile, various PMC departments have assured citizens that once completed, the bridge will improve traffic flow, particularly in Hingne.
