Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued a stern warning against tree cutting for Holi celebrations, labeling it a criminal offense. As per the Maharashtra (Urban Areas) Tree Protection and Conservation Act, 2021, unauthorized felling can attract fines up to ₹1 lakh and legal action.
A strict warning has been issued ahead of Holi against unnecessary felling of trees. The PMC has recognized and labeled this act as a criminal offense.
