Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Seize 17 Bullet Bikes in an Attempt to Curb Noise Pollution
In a strict crackdown on modified bullet bikes with loud silencers, Bharati Vidyapeeth Police seized 17 bikes and collected ₹50,000 in fines.
The action was taken following multiple complaints from residents about the deafening noise disturbing students and locals. Authorities stated that many Bullet riders were illegally modifying their silencers to produce loud, firecracker-like sounds, causing a nuisance on city roads.
Bullet bikes bothering students and locals of Bharati Vidyapeeth result in complaints made to the police authorities. In an operation to conclude this problem, the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police seized 17 bullet bikes, while collecting ₹50,000 fines for the same. More such crackdowns are underway to determine illegally fit silencers.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ashwini Rakh and Traffic Inspector Shilpa Lambe led the operation, removing the illegal silencers and seizing the vehicles.
