Tampered and Adulterated Paneer Found in Manjari Food Factory
In a joint operation (8th March), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Pune Police raided a factory in Manjari, seizing 1,400 kg of adulterated paneer along with skimmed milk powder, palm oil, and chemicals used in the fraud-totaling ₹11.56 lakh.
FDA, along with Pune Police raided a food factory in Manjari on 8th March 2024. They seized 1,400 kg of adulterated cottage cheese, also known as paneer that was discovered to made of palm oil and chemicals, under unhygienic circumstances. Citizens are urged to report any more such cases of food tampering.
The fake paneer was being manufactured in unhygienic conditions and sold as genuine.
FDA Joint Commissioner Dr. Rahul Khade has urged citizens to report food adulteration cases immediately. the seized stock was destroyed, and further investigations are underway.
