Report by The Newsage Pune.

MP Dr. Amol Kolhe Questions PCMC for Illegal Encroachment Drive in Chikhali and Kudalwadi

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has demolished unauthorized structures in Chikhali and Kudalwadi, clearing 825 acres. The move has left over 500 small-scale industries in crisis, causing serious damage to the livelihood of thousands of citizens.

825 acres of land was cleared in the operation carried out by PCMC in Chikhali and Kudalwadi, to demolish unauthorized and illegal encroachments. MP Dr. Amol Kolhe demands justice for the small-scale business owners who lost their businesses in the process. He sought answers from the PCMC Commissioner regarding injustice meted out to the citizens.

Dr. Amol Kolhe questioned the PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh, questioning why taxes were collected on allegedly illegal structures and whether affected businesses had valid documents. He also sought details on past actions, notices, and potential compensation for impacted entrepreneurs.

Dr. Amol Kolhe has warned that if clarity isn't provided, he will raise the issue in Parliament. He has also requested an explanation regarding the proposed TP scheme for the area.
