Hiranandani Group and Kirsala Developers Collaborate for 105-acre township
Mumbai-based Hiranandani Group has announced a large-scale township project with North Hinjewadi, Pune, in collaboration with Kirsala Developers. The 105-acre development, structured under a 50:50 revenue-sharing model, is expected to generate ₹7,000 crore in revenue.
Hiranandani Group recently announced a collaborative partnership with Kirsala Developers. ₹7,000 crore of revenue is expected to be generated as a result of this project. Major investments in terms of land and capital have been made for hastening the process. However, debate of sustainability and environment has ensued.
While the project promises to boost infrastructure and housing in Pune's growing IT corridor, concerns over rising concretization and environmental impact persist. The first phase of the project will span 30 acres, with an investment of ₹5,00 crore and 3million square feet of real estate development. This includes apartments, villa plots and commercial spaces.
Within rapid urbanization, Pune has witnessed declining green cover and increasing pollution levels, raising questions about the ecological cost of such large-scale developments. While the township may cater to the demand for housing and commercial spaces, it also adds to the ongoing debate over balancing growth with sustainability. The deal was facilitated by Colliers India.
