Koregaon Park to Experiences Sizzling Temperature this Summer
Pune is experiencing a scorching March, with Koregaon Park recording the highest temperature of the season at 41.3 °C on Tuesday. Lohegaon followed closely at 40.3 °C, while Hadapsar and Wadgaon Sheri saw temperature of 39.8 °C and 39.5°C, respectively.
Koregaon Park in Pune has recently recorded the highest temperature in the city at 41.3°C. This scorching temperature is assumed to be the hottest of the entire city, followed by Hadapsar and Wadgaon Sheri. IMD has predicted that the eastern side of Pune will experience more heat as compared to other areas. Slight rainfall is predicted in the upcoming days.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune's eastern areas continue to face extreme heat, surpassing last year's records. The rising temperatures are attributed to reduced anticyclonic circulation, though some cloud cover has helped cool certain parts of the city.
Night temperatures have shown a slight drop, with Pune recording 16.7 °C on March 18. IMD forecasts a minor dip in temperature over the next few days. Meanwhile, Vidarbha's Brahmapuri recorded the state's highest temperature at 41.5 °C. Light rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in parts of Maharashtra in March 21 and 22.
