Maximum Temperature Recorded in Koregaon Park, Pune at 38°C, leading to daytime heat
The maximum and minimum temperatures in Pune and its surrounding areas have been on the rise for the past week, leading to an increase in daytime heat. On Monday (17th February), the maximum temperature recorded was 36°C.
The weather in Pune was recorded to be mostly on the warmer side since the past week. Koregaon Park in Pune surpassed the maximum temperature of 36°C, establishing the new highest temperature at 38°C leading to increased daytime heat. Morning temperature was recorded to be cooler and chilly leading to hotter afternoons. Further increase in temperature is anticipated across Maharashtra.
Koregaon Park experienced the highest temperature, reaching 38°C. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is expected to remain stable for the next 2 days. On Monday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.9°C resulting in chilly mornings followed by intense afternoon heat.
Meanwhile, rising temperatures across the state have pushed the maximum mercury level beyond 36°C. Solapur recorded the state's highest temperature of 37.4°C in the 24 hours leading up to Monday (17th February) morning. Further temperature increases are anticipated across the state.
