Key Officers of Pimpri-Chinchwad's Cyber Police Involved in Arresting Online Fraud Network and Scammers
Since the past one year, over 100 cyber criminals have been arrested including suspects from Russia as well as many Indian states over cybercrime and frauds. Fake stock market investments, banking fraud, phishing, hacking and social media scams had been become rampant on a large scale.
Major online scam case has been successfully cracked by the Pimpri-Chinchwad cyber police. This was done in an attempt to safeguard citizens' online identity and information that had been vulnerable for over the past year. The Pimpri-Chinchwad cyber police prevailed in this matter smoothly.
In the process of identifying criminals, the suspects attempted to attack an Assistant Investigator in Jaipur namely Pravin Swami, but the officers successfully apprehended and overpowered them. This operation was led by Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey which involved advanced cyber tracking techniques. For their bravery, the police received special recognition from CM Devendra Fadnavis Dy CM Ajit Pawar. However, the Pimpri-Chinchwad's cyber police emerged victorious in the race of tracking down online fraud networks and also received statewide recognition.
They were able to track down the scammers after tracing them in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and then Maharashtra. The cyber police employed advanced technology and proactive policing which helped them strengthen law enforcement's digital crackdown. The Pimpri-Chinchwad's cyber police have vowed to continue tightening their grip over online fraudsters ensuring swift action against cybercrime.
