Major Areas Around Pune to Face Water Supply Shutdown on 4th April
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a full-day water supply shutdown on April 3, 2025, due to essential maintenance work at multiple water treatment plants and pumping stations. Several areas will also experience low-pressure supply of April 4.
The shutdown will impact key locations, including Parvati Water Treatment Plants, Bhama Ashked, Holkar Water Center, Vadgaon Water Center and Rajiv Gandhi Pumping Station.
Amidst the rising heat and shortage of water, PMC has announced the complete shutdown of water supply in key areas of Pune. The reason for this shutdown is stated as maintenance work. The affected areas have been made clear by the authorities and residents have been priorly informed to avoid water crisis.
The affected areas include Guruwar Peth, Budhwar Peth, Nana Peth, Lohia Nagar, Mukund Nagar, Ghorpade Peth and Maharshinagar from Central Pune, Sahakarnagar, Bibwewadi, Gangadham, Lake Town, Shivtejanagar, Upper Indiranagar and Swargate from South Pune, Deccan, Shivajinagar, Hingne, Sinhagad Road, Kothrud and Karve Nagar from West Pune, Lohgaon, Viman Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Yerwada, Dhanori, Hadapsar, Mundhwa and Kharadi from East Pune, Baner, Balewadi, Bavdhan, Pashan, Aundh and Model Colony from North-West Pune and Katraj, Ambegaon and Dhankawadi from South-West Pune.
