Clash Between the Two Factions of Shiv Sena Over Comedy
The rivalry between the two Shiv Sena factions is heating up over stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra's event in Pune. The Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) has announced its support for Kamra, vowing to organize his show and provide security, while the Eknath Shinde-led faction has threatened to block the event.
The two factions under Shiv Sena are currently experiencing a tiff over a satirical song presented by stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra at his show in Pune. UBT has expressed unconditional support for Kamra, while the Shinde faction has threatened to shut Kamra's upcoming show. Shinde's faction has been criticized heavily for its unnecessarily aggressive stance towards the situation.
Tensions erupted after Kamra's satirical song mocking Shinde's rebellion went viral, prompting Shinde Sena workers to attack a Mumbai hotel hosting his performance. in Pune, Shinde Sena's city unit chief, Nana Bhangire, warned that Kamra would be "taught a lesson" if he attempted to perform.
Kamra's show in Pune is scheduled for March 30, and UBT leaders have vowed to ensure it takes place without disruption. They criticized Shinde's faction for its aggressive stance, stating, "We will organize his show in Pune and see who dares to stop it."
