A water canal near the Kharadi area in Pune has recently become a pervasive dumping ground in spite of being a prosperous IT hub. This has resulted in tremendous environmental degradation and has posed health risks to residents at the same time. The authorities have been tipped off with this information, but relief is awaited.
Despite local concerns, authorities have not addressed the issue, highlighting failures in civic governance and environmental responsibility.
